The Pindars lived at 2633 Ridgemore Road. They were both real estate lawyers. Mr. Pindar started publishing his Pindar’s Georgia Real Estate Law and Procedure in 1971. This treatise is considered the text authority on Georgia real estate law and has gained national recognition. It is currently updated by Daniel F. Hinkel in its sixth edition as West-Pindar’s Georgia Real Estate Law and Procedure. Mrs. Georgine Pindar was an accomplished pianist with a doctoral degree in music. After a career in music, Mrs. Pindar went to law school and received her law degree. She later collaborated with Mr. George Pindar in his continued real estate writing. The Real Property Law Section of the State Bar of Georgia pays annual tribute to Mr. Pindar's accomplishments through its George Pindar Award. The award honors lifelong achievements made to the real estate bar by a bar member who typifies the ethics and ideals of Mr. Pindar. The unselfish and talented commitment the Pindars made to law, music and community and their love of our neighborhood are inspirations to us all. Mr. Pindar took walks on Ridgemore Rd. until his death in 1998. Mrs. Pindar could be heard playing her piano at her home until several days before her death in August 2001.
