No Grocery for RHNA?

Dear Neighbors, Last night Commissioner Emma Darnell spoke to a large group at the NPU-D meeting, and discussed the 40% affordable housing requirements for the Perry-Bolton TAD, in which we are included. There were 200-300 people there, the vast majority in opposition, as other TADs have as a maximum, a 20% rate, with some having 0%. We need to keep up the momentum against this, as the developers are saying that they cannot make the projects work at these levels, making our TAD District a less desirable area to develop than others. NPU-D adjoins Marietta Blvd, and they are concerned about the Moore's Mill Shopping Center being de-railed by this, as should we. Commissioner Darnell will most likely be at NPU-C in May, and I urge you to come out in force to oppose the County's position. There were many respectful expressions of disagreement last night, and I'm sure we can do the same. We will have a full discussion of this matter at our April 16th semi-annual RHNA meeting, so please come to be apprised of this situation. John Glenn Pres. RHNA
