Field on Warren Road
This is the Pace Academy Ball Field on Warren Road. It was formerly owned by the American Legion until April 2006 and was named after Ben Gilbert, a prominent legionnaire. Oral history is that the ball field was built for and probably by prisoners at the near-by county prison farm on Moores Mill Road. The ball field is over 100 years old and is the oldest continuous land use in Ridgewood Heights.
